Club de Fútbol Pachuca announced the return of Salomón Rondón to the club, after a six-month loan to Real Oviedo. The return was announced by the Mexican club through a video published on the team's social media, in collaboration with the Venezuelan forward, on Monday, December 29, in which he is seen dressed as a cowboy walking through a desert until he arrives at a bar, then riding a horse at the Estadio Hidalgo, home of Pachuca, and finally revealing his face. The video's narration commented that “now memory and proximity give him a welcome, receiving the hero who had the courage to return”. Finally, the message “the king returns” is seen. Rondón officially arrived at Pachuca on December 29, 2023. Before his loan to Oviedo in September of this year, the striker scored 36 goals and provided 8 assists in 70 games. Such performance earned him the Golden Boot of the Mexican Clausura tournament of that year. He also won the Concacaf Champions Cup (Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean Football), as well as the Americas Derby and the FIFA Challenger. All these tournaments were won in 2024. It is expected that the Venezuelan will debut again with the Tuzos in the first round of the Liga MX Clausura, on January 10, in the visit of his team to Guadalajara. In his professional career at club level, the Caracas striker has passed through Aragua FC, Las Palmas, Málaga FC, Rubín Kazan, Zenit of St. Petersburg, West Bromwich Albion, Newcastel United, Dalian Pro, Everton, River Plate, Pachuca, Real Oviedo and now returns to the Mexican club. “Salo” has 12 hat-tricks in his professional career, nine of them at club level, with his last four with Pachuca. He is the club with the most times he has scored three goals in a single game.
