Club de Fútbol Pachuca announced on Wednesday that Benjamín Mora will be the new coach for the Apertura 2026 of the Liga MX, which will start in July. "The mind is the most powerful thing that the human being has. I can adapt very easily to the needs of where I am", said the coach in his presentation video, which was published on the team's social media. The 46-year-old coach comes in to replace Argentine Esteban Solari, who left the team last week unexpectedly, after having qualified for the final phase of the Clausura, in which he lost in the semifinals against Pumas. Mora will seek to consolidate his career in the Tuzos, after his adventure in Chinese football, where he coached Wuhan Three Towns. The native of Tijuana, who started his career in the lower divisions of Tijuana and Atlético Chiapas, began to accumulate experience abroad with Johor Darul Takzim FC of Malaysian football, which he coached between 2015 and 2022, and which he led to obtain several championships. His great performance allowed him to coach his first team in Mexico in Atlas between 2022 and 2023. As a result of his wandering profile, in 2024 he emigrated to Canada to take the reins of York United Football Club. Back in this country, he took control of the modest Querétaro, with which he maintained until last year. The Pachuca will debut in the first round of the Apertura 2026 on July 18, when they will visit Pumas UNAM.
